Weir Minerals Competition 2008

Sydney, Australia - 28 September 2008

The 2008 Weir Minerals Competition was held on 28 September 2008 at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney. This year marked the 21st anniversary of the competition. The teams worked on project READY.

This year's competition had a heavy mechatronics focus with most teams using microprocessor control and electronic sensing. It was also the first time that a team, in this case the winners from the University of Adelaide, fronted with an identical second device in case of problems.
